I do however think that if a sikh wants to ride a motorcycle, play NFL and do other things that need a helmet, he or she can wave his rights to medical claims for head injuries and be free to live life that doesnt cause pain or suffering to fellow citizens. Or lets all get together and come up with a big helmet for guru pyaras. I am going to design one. At 80-90mph its not a bad option to have a tighter dumalla or additional protection. I mean, isnt sitting in a car equivalent to putting your whole body, including turban in a big old helmet? otherwise there is no other difference between MC and car except tire count. He was saying that we (Canadians as well as the British) owe our freedom to those brave Sikhs that fought..NOT with helmets but with turbans on their heads. He said....these people (Sikhs) were brave enough to fight and die for OUR freedom with turbans on their heads, thus it is an insult for us to now turn around and say their turban is not good (or safe) enough to ride a motorcyle etc. His plea was accepted by all...and please bear in mind that this was at a time when Canada was subject to the will of the Parliament in London too.....with Canada only being deemed mature and adult enough to be able to make it's own laws (without permission from London) since 1982.
